Head First EJB is geared a little more towards the certification objectives, but the Head First series are excellent learning resources and the EJB book is a fine member of the series.

Dave,
Is there a Head First EJB 3? Last I saw they were talking about it, but I don't recall seeing anything publishing.

And I like EJB 3 in Action as well.

It hasn't been updated for EJB 3? Disappointing, Head First!

No, it hasn't been updated. A lot of SCBCD takers have been praying for an update, but it seems a long way before that happens.

I like EJB3 In Action too. I've only read that one, so I can't compare it to others.

For EJB 3, follow:
1. Java EE 5 or Java EE6 Tutorial available on download.oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/
2. EJB3 In Action.

But first better go through tutorial. It will help you understand basic concepts and also its original tutorial available. then go for EJB3 in action.

Its disappointing that they havent updated the Head First..

And thanks everyone for the books ..:-)

I believe I would go for the list mentioned by Gaurav. Even Jeanne has this in the SCEA list on her blog...
