Hi,

This may be out of scope for the book, but I'm curious to know if there is (will be) support for alternative JVM languages on Android? Groovy specifically.

No, I was thinking about actually developing android applications using alternative languages.

Good question. I cannot comment specifically on Groovy, however I would recommend that you search for Android Scripting Engine or SL4A is the current name
