What is an AppWidget? Hope you have dedicated a chapter for this in your book. How AppWidget compared to similar features in other mobile OSs like iOS?

The SDK comes with an example in the samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/appwidget directory if you want to see it in action.
