Carol, on the old assignment log (that was replaced with this log), there was a link to a page that explained the meaning of the colors of the assignment list. If possible, would you be able to add that link back to the assignment list?

The colors in the Assignment Log are as follows:

Green: A post within the last 10 days (Recent)

Red: A post between 22 and 30 days old (About to expire)

Amber: On the final assignment of your current section (About to graduate)

Working on Assignment 1a, frustrated.

I submitted twice already, with progress, but can't seem to get it. I got as far as getting Gertrude to appear across the screen without spaces. It simply displayed Gertrude in straight rows and columns.

Then I changed something and now only get Gertrude to appear 100 times, all in one column. Going crazy.

p.s. I don't have the recommended book(s), yet. I do have Java:How To Program. 7th Edition.

Ah, yes. The good old Hundred. I think I had 4 or 5 nitpicks on this one. You can search old posts to pick up hints from other driver's struggles. Sometimes that helps get you past a deep rut!

Hello Lisa!  I got a notification of your post this morning, and I haven't been on this site for quite a while. I don't know the answer to your question. Others may be doing the Cattle Drive, but not posting in this thread. When I was working through the Drive, there were about a dozen active drivers, and this thread provided encouragement, a place to vent, and a way to track everyone's progress. I moderated this forum many moons ago, but no longer. I still have the access needed to update your status in the log, and I'd be willing to do that if you'd like. It may even bring some drivers who are on the trail out of the shadows! Good luck with your assignments!
