I am a java developer and very curious to learn android. Will Android In Action help me understand android and train me in becomming a developer? With few other books in the market will it be good to invest in this book?

I am completely new to mobile programming, so will book help me understand it?

The sample chapters look promising.

Looking forward to some fun time ahead
