Hi all,

Even I have the same question. I am planning to give part I of OCMJEA and I donot know where to start. I have read a few topics here and understood that SCEA Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java EE Study Guide by Paul Allen, Joseph J. Bambara is something that everyone is mentioning. Do I start with that book or are there any other books I need to finish to refresh all the basic concepts and then go for exam preparation?

Also is there any difference between SCEA and OCMJEA (apart from the name) ? Are SCEA books still useful for OCMJEA?

Please help me with these questions, so I can start my journey towards OCMJEA.

Thank You,
Kakani.

SCEA 5 and OCMJEA 5 are the same. All SCEA 5 materials are still valid.

I used Cade's book rather than Allen's. See my blog post for more details on the materials I used.

Have a look at Java Pet Store and Java Adventure applications. This would give you an understanding on what and how much content you have for Part 2

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
