Hello,

I need to implement Load Testing(say for some 20 users) on my GWT application running in tomcat server on my machine.
I am working on Ubuntu OS.

On googling, I find NeoTys that satisfies my requirement, but the trial version has few conditions:

1. It supports only Windows Users
2. the server shouldn't be localhost.

Can anyone provide some light on the possible load testing tools out in the market that would meet my expectations?

By the way, hoping that this is an issue with GWT, I posted the same topic in GWT at
https://coderanch.com/t/526831/GWT/Load-Testing-GWT-applications

I realize that the topic could be answered here too, and hence am posting the same. I am not intending to make duplicate posts.
I feel, my query could be aswered in both the places.

Regards,
Chandrasekar V.

Have you looked into jmeter (http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/) ?? Seems it could work with GWT.

Dear Mathew,

Thanks for the post!

My application uses asynchronous calls. JMeter doesn't support that feature.
I had looked across NeoLoad(NeoTys), JMeter, Grinder, Stress Tester, Open Web Load, Load Runner but in vain.
I am using Linux OS ( I can't move over to windows.. -- company requirements). This is a main blocker.
I am looking for a load testing tool that would enable me to record and dynamically change values to implement the load test.

Hi Chandrasekar,

I'm Paul from Neotys. Did you ask our support about your tests with NeoLoad?
NeoLoad controller is available on Linux and Unix as well. We'll be pleased to investigate further with you. You can contact us on http://www.neotys.com/support/contact.html

Best regards,
