Hello,

First, i wish you a happy new year

I'am trying to find a study book in order to prepare the "Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 JavaServer Pages and Servlet Developer Certified Expert" Exam.

I have searched on Google and on this forum but i didn't find any reference...

Can you advise me a book ?

Thanks in advance

Best regards,

Dom

Howdy Dominique!

I'm also preparing for the JEE 6 web component exam.

I've read the Head First book for JEE 5, now I'm finishing SCWCD Study Companion with JEE 6 preview and during the reading I'm referring to the JEE 6 specifications (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javaee/tech/index.html).

I've sent a question about more detailed syllabus to the Oracle, and waiting for the answer.

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks you.

The second book you mention covering Web part of JEE 6 ?

Best regards,

Dom

Yeah, the second edition does include the "Java EE 6 Preview" and these are:

Chapter 20. Java EE 5 & 6 Servlets & JSPs
Chapter 21. Unified Expression Language (EL 2.1)

It's additional 34 pages and is really a preview.

No, this book is not a preparation guide for 310-085 but only to 310-083 and 310-084.

I guess it will be hard to get a book which will cover the JEE 6 exam, as it is still in post-beta phase :-)

If Oracle will answer my question about the syllabus I think it would bring us closer to see what we might expect on the real exam and therefore will define what sections from the specification we should study in more details :-)
