I am new to struts and tiles, but have recently begun using both. I have about thirty or so JSP pages that will use a tile definition. The definitions i have defined are:
.master.layout. and .vm.main.template.

Because all the pages use one of these two, I was thinking of placing these variables in my web.xml file and then accessing them using application variable.

Is this considered good practice, or is there anything which is a lot better?

Thank you.

I found a beautiful pie. And a tiny ad:
