is jsp technology dead  RSS feed

Hello guys,
I will like to know if jsp is dead and if not is it worth studying it or i should just go directly for the java frameworks.And which of the frameworks is the best spring or strut. Thanks in advance

Huh?

Of course not. Even if you use a framework like Struts or JSF, it's all based upon JSP.

You are possibly reading about FreeMarker or Velocity template engines. some old opinions tend to promote that JSP isn't good and advocating FM or Velocity.
JSP is absolutely alive and elegant template language since JSP 2.0
Personally, it is my favorite.

Or maybe you mean that standalone JSP is dead? You should definitely be using MVC - whether servlet/jsp or a framework.
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
