Impementing selenium webdriver

I work on a webapplication. I am implementing selenium webdriver for automation testing. When i run the application the firefox is throwing an error saying that unable to connect to the sever.
Can you please tell me the possible scenarios in which it got failed.

Please give me more details on your Issue. In firefox you required Selenium IDE. later on you can convert that recorded Html Format in Java,Ruby ,etc.If you have Converted Html 2 Java then you Need Selenium Java Client Driver.
