member_page.jsp

1. I call this jsp like: member_page.jsp?foo=1
1.1 I can read that foo ok.

2. click submit button
2.1 reading foo returns "member_page.jsp", instead of null ?

You can't use getParameter() (or similar methods) with a multi-part form. I assume you are doing a file upload? If so, whatever file upload package you are using will have a means to get the parameters.

P.S. Submitting a form to a JSP? Should be to a servlet.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
