Hi All,

I have 0 experience of jboss, we are trying to use jboss behind a firewall, and getting the connection timeout issue intermittently.

The jboss version is jboss-4.2.0-GA.

I am sure there would be some configurations required to make it work smoothly. if someone has came across same issue, can they please advice.

This error message indicates that something in JBoss AS is attempting to access the Oracle database and that the database is not accessible. Please post the *-ds.xml file for the Oracle data source.

You mentioned firewalls. Please make sure that the firewall that is guarding Oracle allows connections from the server hosting JBoss AS.
