Let me google that for you: ubuntu windows dual boot
If you have specific questions or run into problems, let us know, we'll be glad to help (many of us have gone through this process multiple times).

Though to be honest. nothing beats installing only one of the OSes and using VirtualBox to run the other. I have found that both XP and Unbuntu run very well (decent performance) within VirtualBox, as long as you don't required high-end graphics power, such as for running recent games but older games run fine (I run StartCraft in an XP VM within VirtualBox on a Windows 7 box).

I have an Ubuntu 10.10/Vista dual boot with multiple dedicated VMs available on Ubuntu. I am also going to try running Vista from a native VM so everything can run seamlessly in Ubuntu but there appears to be a problem with support for native partition vmdk in VBox 4 so I'm waiting for the moment.
