I'm about 5 chapters in...

I'm loving this book! I've always thought that Keith Richards maybe doesn't get all the credit he deserves. His guitar work is, to me at least, really deceptive. On the surface it might seem like really simple rock and roll stuff, but he packs a LOT into his music.

I'm really enjoying his detailed descriptions of how he and Mick learned music together.

But even Keith Richards has to learn how to play sometimes:

Yeah, I was surprised the first time I saw that clip. A lot of that is simply the drudgery of rehearsals and recording, but the way that ghost bend totally eluded him... He really wasn't hearing it. And I'm guessing he's rarely in a situation where anyone tells him to play differently.

No matter who you are, it's hard work. The magic is in making it look easy.

I couldn't quite tell in that clip whether Keith was angry or not?

The clip is from a Chuck Berry documentary, "Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll." Here's a longer clip that adds some context...
