Hi,

Is there a way for a web application to recognize the user-agent of an android browser? I want to define proper CSS for different type of browsers.

Thanks

Searching for "android browser user-agent header" or some such phrase should provide you with all the information you need.

But is that applicable for all phones, all browsers? I have the integrated browser on the HTC Wildfire, which I think it's Webkit or something, and when going onto a site it is seen as a pc browser (page displayed normally) and Opera mini / mobile which is seen as iphone (!) and some flash movies are displayed as m4v (MPEG4) and can be seen on the phone without flash.

Thanks.

It's quite possible that some sites don't care about what browser accesses them, or get it wrong. But you intend to get it right, so what they do is of no concern to you :-)
