Do you assume familiarity with SpringMVC in chapter 7?

Hi,
Chapter 7 of your book discusses SpringMVC. Is it a complete tutorial on SpringMVC or it just discusses what it is new?
I want to learn SpringMVC since it hits the version 3 (I run away from previous versions) but it looks there is no resource for it.
Thanks.

Chapter 7 is all new in this edition, covering the annotation-oriented Spring MVC that came about in Spring 2.5. But it doesn't require that you already know Spring MVC.
