Hi,

i wrote a chat application and it works, but i wanted to test it by chatting with other user. Till now i was just using my computer's localhost and was typing in new messages. i wrote that application in JSP and was using the apache tomcat to test it out.

can anyone suggest how can i test it actually?...as in do i have to put my machine as a server and ask my friend to access my computer and the application? or is there other way around it

Any suggestions/help will be appreciated!!

Thanks..

Deploy your application to your machine, give your IP to your friends and ask them to access it using urls like http://xx.xx.xx.xx/app-name
You need a static P to let your friends access it over internet, or if you are on a local network, you can give your IP to your fiends who are on the same network.

Try 100 things. 2 will work out, but you will never know in advance which 2. This tiny ad might be one:
