Peace & Blessings All,

I am very brand new to programming. I have to take these classes to get my master's in technology management. I have to write an ATM program and I now have 3 "Can't find symbol errors" in my program. I have to turn this in tonight before midnight EST. PLEASE HELP ME.......

My errors comes at:
checkBalance = checkBalance();
withdrawal = withdrawal();
deposite = deposite();

c:\java\atm.java:23: cannot find symbol
symbol : method checkbalancd();
location: class ATM
checkBalance = checkBalance()

c:\java\atm.java:25: cannot find symbol
symbol : method withdrawal();
location: class ATM
withdrawal = withdrawal()

c:\java\atm.java:27: cannot find symbol
symbol : method deposite();
location: class ATM
deposite = deposite()

I thank you all for your time on this matter.

Here is what I've done so far.

Please post the exact text of the error messages, including line numbers.

Also, be sure to UseCodeTags in the future. I've added them to your post for you -- see how much easier the code is to read?

Welcome to the Ranch!

This error message is telling you the compiler cannot find a method called checkBalance(). Indeed, I don't see any such method in your posted code. Have you defined this method anywhere?

The same is true for the other two methods.

I am not sure how to define a method. I would need to see an example on how to do a method then I can apply it to my program. I truly thank you, I am brand spanking new to prgramming. My Java class is for my Master's in Technology Management. I can use all the help I can get.

Next time you perhaps want to start more than one or two days before the deadline, especially if you have little experience to no experience at all.
