Hi,

I studied the core java and worked out simple programs. Now i want to do one mini projects based on core java. The project should use most of the concepts exists in java like (Inner Class, Inheritence, Composistion,Collection, Generics, etc..).. Could any one suggest me what kind of project i can start , so i can get the real time experience ??

A ticker application which reads data about phone usage and charges the user based on Data/Voice/Messaging.
Also store same data in xml format so that any other application which doesn't have access to the DB can see the usage statistics and make a business decision.
The charged amount should be written back in the DB.
Make it multi threaded because once you have read the data from DB, you can write xml in one thread and do processing for charging the user in another thread.
Also log proper messages in log files.

(You can add more processing on the data being read from the database which is more complex)

When you say 'studied', you should have come across coding exercises. What you probably did is just read.

You should use proven methods, like reading 'Head First Java'.

If you finish reading (and doing the exercises in) that book, and dont end up becoming a kick-a$$ java beginner, then you will never be.
