Can you please post some information on the materials that you used for the exam? Also, did you use any practice exams?

Hi All,

Thank you for your wishes....

Hi Ravi,
Test is preety much ok not much tough.. but whatever topics i found difficult to work with and not practised/skipped while preparing this test had gone wrong (guessing 3 questions wrong)....they are WSIT, WS-Security... but i shouldnt have skipped bcos they are very important when it comes to real-world assignments under webservices.....Hope i will get a chance to work on that in future...

Hi Chaitanya,
This is what i did,
1)Read Ivan Krizsan's guide (u can get pdf copy at ScdjwsLinks Homepage)
2)Practised myself with webservices (even though i not using webservices at my work/project).
=>Started with :Nice & Easy Start up by vinodsingh
=>Download "JWSDP2" package from sun and executed samples under all topics to feel how it works.
some more links i used while practising but i forgot now........
All the best.........

Hi all!
Please look for the latest version of my SCDJWS 5 study notes e-book at http://www.slideshare.net/krizsan/scdjws-5-study-notes-3085287
The version in the SCDJWS section is old and no longer maintained.
Best wishes!

Hi, Gurunath.
I have very little experience in web services. I start reading M.Z's notes and trying Java Web Services Up and Running's examples.
Later, I will read RMH's J2EE book.

Will that help?

ebooks and materials are the ones which is generally available

I rather used an approach which may help you...

1.Implement examples provided by Martin Kalin(Web Services Up and Running) by yourself then go for
2.Mikalai Zaikin: Notes and Quizzes: again special thanks to him
3.Security(WS-Security,Authorisation , Authentication, SSL)WSIT.(Separated this bcos of its importance)

then Plan for covering other topics

4.Ivan A Krizsan:scjdws 5 notes on specific topics (Patterns, Best practices)
5.Write your own notes on Liberty, Metro (Websites Available),

Test yourself
5.Mikalai Zaikin quizes and Epractize Training Lab(to test your self)

Which material you covered for point 4 Security(WS-Security,Authorisation , Authentication, SSL)WSIT.

5.Write your own notes on Liberty, Metro (Websites Available),

What is Liberty? Sorry, what are you trying to point, I am not getting! Any reference if you can provide?

What did you refer for the REST? "Martin Kalin: Java Web services Up and Running" covered REST WS in different style without any jax-rs annotation!

REST is an architectural style. So, I think jax- rs or jax- ws follows this style.
In the exam, do we need to study Rest in jax-rs or jax-ws?
