Thank you. i have gone through the link and tried to use the sample code and run it, but it is showing me error in-

The MapAboutBox.java file:(2 errors in .getInstance(mappapp.MainApp.class)......)

org.jdesktop.application.ResourceMap resourceMap = org.jdesktop.application.Application.getInstance(mapapp.MapApp.class).getContext().getResourceMap(MapAboutBox.class);

and

javax.swing.ActionMap actionMap = org.jdesktop.application.Application.getInstance(mapapp.MapApp.class).getContext().getActionMap(MapAboutBox.class, this);

It says that---

Multiple markers at this line
- Bound mismatch: The generic method getInstance(Class<T>) of type Application is not applicable for the arguments
(Class<MapApp>). The inferred type MapApp is not a valid substitute for the bounded parameter <T extends Application>
- mapapp cannot be resolved to a type.

I don't understand what to do. please give some more information.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
