Log4j- Jdbc appender fails

Whenever a insert query created by jdbcappender fails due to some database constraints etc. the appender dies once for all.
So if query fails, subsequent queries dont even execute, jdbc appender doesn't seem to recover when the first failure happens. How can this be handled.

Perhaps by catching the exception; however you haven't posted any code, nor any information about what happens when the exception is thrown, so that's just a guess.
