JFree Pie Chart, define size for small display

I know it is not a pure Java related topic, since JFreeChart is a third party product, but may be someone has some experience with it. I would like to define the size of the pie chart and struggle since a couple of hours with the realization . The most promissing I have in the moment is:

I am using setLayout(null), since I want to freely position the chart on the 'bigPanel'. I habe tried to size the JPane, the PieChart - nothing worked with the desired result.
