I am running Windows 7 Starter and Ubuntu 11.04. In both of these operating systems, I have the JRE and JKE working fine. I have tested each and they work properly. In Windows 7 Starter, I use the CLI to make JAR files. In Ubuntu 11.04, I use the terminal. I can make JAR files in Windows no problem. When I put in the command for Ubuntu, it displays this:

There cursor is blinking next to the carrot as if it wants more input. How do I make this work?
Thanks,

You have an un-terminated quote in the jar file name that needs escaping.

I never ever ever (well almost never ever ever) put anything but alpha-numeric characters in file names. The KISS principle.

It worked perfect. Thank you! What is the "KISS" principle?
