Jasper Reports inserting line feed in heading

I'm new to Jasper Reports, and I'm creating a report in pdf format in my web application. There is a strange quirk that I can't figure out.

In a group heading, on one of the values has a line feed right before the end of the word, and I can't figure out why. It only happens on one heading, and not another, although the other word is longer. And it only happens when created via the web app, not in iReport.

Has anybody seen anything like this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Upon further use of Jasper, I have found a number of inexplicable line feeds in fields. In one line, I'll see a line feed, and in the next, no line feed for the same field, but the length of the data is larger. This is quite baffling.

Found out elsewhere that this is a known issue with version 4.0.2

Also found a work around - tack on a space at the end of the field.
