I am wondering if security+ is the only security certification exam that doesn't require any prerequisites or job experience to take it.

I would love to take CISSP feel that I am ready but don't have any years in the job world.
Security+ is very easy but I would take it if I could take CEH.
I would like to also take CEH but they to require some work experience ... my thought is maybe if I pass the security+ exam they will let me take CEH ?
Anybody know for sure though?

Also anybody know a list of security certification I can take with no job experience/prerequisites in this area of IT?

Although I have know prerequisites or job experience I assure you I know my security from years of self study/self practice.
2-year degree in IT/computer science , Masters degree in Pure Math , java certified , network+ certified if any of these could open me up to take CISSP or other security exams?

The SecurityFaq lists several certifications; I'm not sure if they fit your criteria, though.

Ok but the only other security certification other then the security+ that doesn't have prerequisites is GSSP.

Other then specific security cert that are vendor specific.

So if those are the only 2 then which one would be more challenging security+ or GSSP ?

Please let me know if anybody finds other non-prerequisite security certification exams out their?

I know microsoft , cisco , orcale/sun a few of them but they are more based on their software or knowing a particular language like java security...etc
More into the vendor neutral exams as opposed to a particular software app like checkpoint ...etc

Basically want to know what the hardest security certification I can take/pass for a security certification with no prerequisites needed except years of self study.

I would look look at http://www.giac.org/certifications/get-certified/roadmap. There are many different certifications with different focuses. If you want a generic (some of everything exam) I would look at GIAC Security Essentials exam. Beware that it seems to cover a lot of material, is not cheap, and requires recertification every four years.
