I am using jdbcracle:thin driver.

My database is Oracle 11.2.0.1.0. with character set UTF-8 and my OS is windows7

As per your advice I have downloaded new driver(s) from Oracle http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/jdbc-112010-090769.html. I have downloaded ojdbc6.jar, ojdbc6_g.jar, ojdbc6dms_g.jar, ojdbc6dms.jar and placed these files into C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\apache-tomcat-6.0.18\lib but still facing the same problem.

Is that right place where these jars should reside?

Hi again,

java -cp .;c:\Oracle\dbhome_1\jdbc\lib\ojdbc6.jar Test
Oracle JDBC driver loaded ok.

java -cp .;"c:\Program Files (x86)\Java\apache-tomcat-6.0.18\lib\ojdbc6.jar" Test
Oracle JDBC driver loaded ok.

The driver seems okay what could else be the case?

Best regards

Ok, It seems you are using the correct Driver type, but still i can say it is the Driver issue.

Could you please mentioned which version of DB and Driver type you are using,

Before this you put the latest oracle jar file in your application's lib directory also and deploy.

I placed all news downloaded files in my .../tomcat/lib folder. Another thing I am thinking that I installed oracle with UTF-8 characterset not by using default that could be the cause?
