My router's IP address is dynamic. How would I set up my chat clients to work when my router IP changes?
For example: If dynamic IP for router is 128.128.128.128, and my router changes IP address, how would I get the client to connect with the server?
Is this even possible?
Thanks,
John Price aka cc11rocks

There are sites where you can register to get a sub domain name that you can update regularly. Some firewalls / routers even have built-in support for them.

I just checked mine and it supports the following which you can check out for yourself:
- DynDNS.org
- changeip.com
- No-IP.com
- yi.org
