c3p0 project website broken... how to use it with hibernate without a container???
posted 5 years ago
I have a
application that is running without a container (Jboss/tomcat).
I'm using JPA (hibernate) to map the db (SQL server).
I'm pretty new at this but I read that it's wise to use c3p0 for connection pooling.
The c3p0's project sites seems broken and I can't find the documentation.
My question is, is it ok to use c3p0 with a standalone java app?
And would it be enough to just add these lines to the "persistence.xml"?
<property name="hibernate.c3p0.max_size" value="25"/> <property name="hibernate.c3p0.min_size" value="5"/> <property name="hibernate.c3p0.timeout" value="5000"/> <property name="hibernate.c3p0.max_statements" value="0"/>
