I have passed SCEA part 1 3 yrs back. I am now planning to take SCEA 5 part 2 & 3. Am I eligible or i have to resit part 1?

What version of the SCEA did you take? If SCEA 5, you can definitely proceed to parts 2 and 3. If an earlier version, I'm not sure.

I got following reply from Oracle.

The SCEA 1.2 certification no longer exists. It was retired long before the Sun certifications were rolled into the Oracle Certification program. We cannot grant this version of certification because it is not a certification that Oracle offers. We also cannot allow the candidates to obtain the SCEA v5 certification based on the SCEA v1.2 exam(s). The candidate will need to complete all 3 steps of the v5 certification.
