Hello Mr. Zechner, I'm really interested in games and thought if I use my gaming passion in coding too.
So, my question is :
1. What are the hardware components I need for developing Android games??
Well, I have a personal computer but is it necessary for me to buy an android phone to test them?

2. What are the software components required?
I have java and Eclipse IDE installed in my computer but is it limited to java only or you can use c and c++ too for the development.

3. Once the game is fully developed where can I test it??
I mean do we have to run it on an android phone.

Thanks in advance, Sir.

A PC running Linux or Windows or a Mac running OS X is what you need for development. Additionally Eclipse (or any other Java IDE) plus the free Android SDK and the JDK are needed from a software perspective. You can to some extend test your games with the emulator included in the Android SDK. However, i'd strongly suggest at least getting one Android device.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
