Dear all, accidentally I deleted my jdk-6u25-windows-x64 installation from my Windows 7 PC.

I tried to unistall it from Windows control panel but it impossible.
Then I'm trying since a few hours to reinstall over the damaged installation, but I get this error: Error 1723. There is a problem whit this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor".

Note that Windows Installer is not damaged because I'm able to install other programs.

Please, could you help me to install jdk-6u25-windows-x64 over the actual damaged one, or another jdk package, or with another method than the Windows Installer?

I'm trying since hours without success.....

Thank you for any help !!!

Ivano

Here's an article from the Microsoft Knowledge Base that explains how to remove a program from the list of installed programs manually: KB314481.

Note that manually changing things in the registry (what the article explains) can be dangerous. Be very careful, when you do something wrong Windows can be seriously messed up.
