Java Applets are not working in IE9 for some reason. I have tried running my own applets in IE9, as well as other people's. They run fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, just not in IE9. How do I fix this? Yes, I did turn off Active-X filtering for the website. It shows a rectangle with a red x in the top left hand corner. Inside the Applet, it is the background of the web site.
Please help,
John Price aka cc11rocks

For some reason, JRE was not installed for IE9. I re-installed JRE through IE9, and then it was fine. Is there a bug in IE9 or JRE?
Thanks,

happened the same to me, to run appletts in ie9 you need java to be installed in your program(x86) directory, even if there is already one in program directory

please buy this thing and then I get a fat cut of the action:
