NCsoft West is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to join our internal Web development team. Candidates should have a strong interest in building web sites for "triple-A" MMOs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
The Front-End Web Developer will be responsible for developing sophisticated web sites, and must know front-end web development at an expert level. You will work with best-in-class technical and creative talent to drive innovation for NCsoft West’s network of game, studio, and corporate web sites.
Requirements
· 4+ years experience designing, building, and maintaining dynamic, consumer-oriented Web sites
· Expert, hands-on knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery with the ability to code by hand
· Expert knowledge of Flash development, including Action Script 3
· Solid experience with After Effects or other similar tools
· Understanding of HTML 5 and other emerging technologies
· Experience developing in a Linux, Apache, MySQL, php environment
· Experience translating design comps and wireframes into dynamic user interfaces for the Web
· Strong working knowledge of Photoshop for producing and optimizing graphics for the web
· Strong working knowledge of Web standards and CSS-driven layouts
· Strong design and creative skills in website UI design and aesthetic layouts
· Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people with varying levels of technical expertise
· Solid oral and written English communication skills
· Enthusiastic toward working in a fast, team-based and dynamic environment
· Experience with source and version control software
Desirable
· Professional experience using FreeMarker, Spring Surf or other Spring web MVC technologies like Tiles, Grails, or Web Flow
· Experience with relational databases and knowledge of MySQL tools and utilities
· Experience with content-management systems, asset-management systems, and production workflow
· Experience with other web development and graphic design software including Eclipse, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator
