Yay...after couple months of study at last I passed the SCJP. It wasn't easy thought, but I made it. The exam covered most of the topics, but most are not what I'm strong at, but I managed to answer correctly. Topics that I'm strong and good at not many appeared on the exam, but it's good to took on the surprise.

Tips:

1. Study Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates book over and over again until you're master the topic.
2. Do all exercise in the book, not just answer the question, but practice coding and try coding in different scenarios for each question.
3. Take mocks tests whether online, ExamLab, Whizlab, Enthuware etc as much as you can. And don't forget practice coding on each question you feel weak.
4. Reinforce your weak area after each mock test and learn from there.
5. Make notes for every little thing on an area that you are weak or need to remember.
6. Before the exam have a final review on notes, codes, exam watch, summary etc. until you're 80-100% ready.
7. Anytime any place try to refresh your memory with things that you need to aware of such as local variable must initialized before use, passing by value, locale, scanner etc. This help strengthen your memory and awareness so, on the exam you won't forget.
7. Have a relax and worry free night before a day you take the exam. Instead of worry, reinforce the area you feel weak or forgot then you're good for the exam.
(Don't misunderstood relax and worry free meant you won't need a Final Review before the exam. It meant relax your mind and don't worry, just reinforce or review and master the area you feel weak instead of worry.)

One final advise is have confident and do the best you can, DON'T give up, and KEEP trying!

Peace...

This has never worked for me, alot of study buddies during my university days like this, but I am not the type. I just have never been able to allow myself to "slack" the last day before an exam, but I suppose it's a matter of taste/style
