Hello all,

I have spent a fair amount of time on this assignment. I've probably not done it in the method that will be accepted by the nitpickers as I have StringBuffers and substrings all over the place. However it works......all except for 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 etc

I print out stuff like "one thousand zero hundred" etc

I thouught I would be easily able to solve this last part but I guess my brain is beginning to shut down. Can anybody offer any guidance please? before I start trying to insert my keyboard into my ear

It sounds like you need to put in a test and only print the "hundred" String if the number is not zero.

Don't worry, we will work with you to find the simple, more readable code. Have you seen Granny's pearls of wisdom? Notice the last one.

Sam! Do not stick your keyboard in your ear!
It might slip and rupture your eardrum.
This is one of the most maddening assignments of the drive.
You are not alone.

If you're seriously stuck and have worked on this one particular issue for a few hours already, send me your code and I'll try to be more specific.

Hi Marilyn,

Thanks for the words of support.

I have had to email you for assistance as i'm starting to break things that were previously working. So I will wait for guidance before I continue.
