Hi Guys,

I scored 84% for Oracle ePractice exam 1. Do you think that I am ready for the actual part 1 exam?

Thanks

Remember real exam is far more difficult than this one.

What do you think about yourself-are you ready-do you feel so-if yes then go ahead.

Hi Sharma,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I think I am ready. But I want to check, really am I ready with someone who did Oracle's ePractice before the real exam.

If someone can post your ePractice exam score and real score, that would be a great help.

Regards

Frankly, depends more on your overall experience and broad knowledge and duration of preparation. Also, how good are you in JSF, EJB3 and JPA and Design Patterns.

I prepared for almost 100 hours and scored 87% first time in Oracle's ePractise. Second exam, I was doing in the office with multitasking and phone calls and I got 78%. My honest scores and situations. I used ePractise LAB software where I started getting almost 98% in all the tests.

The day before the real exam, I got sick and was not able to even stand, Took 2 Red bulls and went for the exam, the exam was really harder than any mockups. I scored 67% in real exam.

My suggestion for you to go thru some Java Champ mockups and see if you can get about 90% average score in first 10 tests. If you can then you are ready. Good luck.

It's not important how much you scored in part1 mockup. In mock up some questions often gets repeated.
Also in mockup you might not be concentrating that hard. What's important is in mockup which are the areas
you have scored less and work on that. It's possible that you might be stronger in 3-4 areas and weak in 1 area.
But in real exam since it's likely to be more tougher than mockup and your weakness might be exposed.
Also remember this is only part1 you need to clear part2 and 3 as well.So use mockup to strengthen areas where you are weak.Remember this is only part1 you need to clear part2 and 3 as well.So use mockup to strengthen areas where you are weak.

What does Brittleness mean in Architecture Terminology?

1 Brittleness means how vulnerable a system is to outside attacks
2 Brittleness means how a small change in a part of a system requires a propagation of changes across the system
3 Brittleness means how ready a system is to a sudden increase in the number of the visitors or users layers N+1 and N-1 and no other layers

You can try n number of times. The question IDs are generated randomly so you might get some repeated questions but mostly different. I suggested 10 times as after that most of the questions will be repeated. Good luck.

Hi Guys,

I did 2 more tests. scores are 80% and 89%. But I am not sure how it calculated to 89% (18 out of 20). May be they consider time too for the calculation.

I don't know about the time but when I did those tests, I never took more than 15 minutes in any of the tests of 20 questions and in real exam I was almost on time. But I think, you are doing really good and ready. Don't remember how much I scored but if can search my threads, you can find them.

Hi Guys

I have placed order for EPractice exam on oracle australia site. Yesterday I got an email form Support-AU-NZ@oracle.com asking me to provice my Credit Card inforamtion to proceed with order. To me it seems suspicious as I have already given all the information on orcale side why they are asking again. is it their normal process?

I guess they still have the issue with the site. When I ordered mine, order went thru and I was expecting something in the email. I did not get anything and called Oracle. Call went to India ( I guess), guy was very helpful. I was in hurry and I told him, if I get access to the question within 24 hours then I am gonna buy otherwise I am canceling my order as my exam was scheduled within next 48 hours. Guy asked me for my credit card, initially I hesitated but then I have AMex so I didn't care and provided him the details over phone. He sent me the exam details in next 6 hours and practice session was active after 12 hours or so if I remember correctly.
