Assignment downloaded from Prometric & will not be able to submit by 31st May deadline

I was going thru the Vendor Transition FAQ on & came across the following (excerpt from FAQ)

I purchased the Assignment from Prometric, but I haven’t returned my completed project to Oracle yet. How do I upload my Assignment?
1. Contact [email protected] to exchange your voucher(s) for voucher(s) that can be applied to the Assignment at Pearson VUE
2. If you do not already have one, create a Pearson VUE web account at pearsonvue.com/oracle; make sure to use your Oracle Testing ID (previously Prometric ID) to set up your Pearson VUE web account.
3. Access the Assignment online at pearsonvue.com/oracle by selecting the appropriate test number from the available Assignments; you will download your assignment requirements from the online test.
4. You will not be eligible to register for the Essay until you have submitted your Assignment

As per point 3 above it seems like we will need to download assignment again from Pearson. I have already downloaded my assignment from Prometric. This is quite crazy as this means that i might get a different assignment from the one that i downloaded from Prometric. I have written to Oracle regarding this. Will post Oracle's response on this thread.

Me too downloaded assignment from prometric site today to buy some more time for completing the assignment.

I think it should be okay that we submit the assignment to the same email id [[email protected]] even after 31st May 2011.
I suppose email id won't change then too.

But better get it confirmed from Oracle. I will wait for your reply.

I have created a new account in Pearson VUE using the old prometric id. After the submit i got the message that 'I will receive my username and password in one business day". This was last friday. I havent rerecived a thing till now. I have tried to create a new account which says i already hav an account. I have used forgot username and password links as well but no avail. Besides the assignment is not available in Pearson yet. This is really annoying. This is really great support from Oracle considering the August deadline.

Exactly, things are not crystal clear and this is the reason, I had to schedule my part 3 with Prometric for 31st May and I am planning to submit my assignment by 31st itself (even though it's not in great shape). Don't want to take any risk with the submission.

Today, I got this reply from Oracle:

"Hi Riveros,

Please note that you can schedule the essay exam through Pearson VUE after 01 June 2011.

Currently the exam registration through Prometric has ended.

The registration process for assignments and essay through Pearson VUE will start on 01 June 2011.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

There have been several posts on this and every post adds to my anxiety and nervousness. So, I thought let me avoid confusion and take the essay exam after June 1 with Pearson and email the assignment on that evening (in fact, in pearson site, you cannot schedule essay exam before June 1). This is a lot messier than we all would have imagined. Thanks Oracle.

I have downloaded the assignment from prometrics last week.Now is the assignment valid?
Or should re-download the exam from pearson.

The assignment should be valid, however the FAQ on Oracle site are not very clear. From the wording of FAQ it seems like we might need to download again. I have asked this question to Oracle. Once i get response will post on this thread .

The new requirement of submitting the assignment before registering for the essay exam is a new problem. How many days would we have to wait after submitting the assignment? this is not clear...

Thank you for writing to Oracle Certification Program.

No, you do not need to download the assignment again. You can work on the same assignment and upload the same on Pearson Vue web site. We are sorry for the confusion and we are in the process of updating the messaging on our FAQ.
You can start uploading the assignments through Pearson VUE after 01 June 2011. Currently the exam registration through Prometric has ended. The registration process for assignments and essay through Pearson VUE will start on 01 June 2011. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Ok. So, we won't be emailing the assignment anymore. But, we still have 2 problems. I am unable to find the 'Upload' link in prometric login for this. And I am also unable to register/schedule for 'essay' exam because this is not listed in the exam list at prometric...
