I'm curious what country/countries, the phrase "hi dears" is common in. I suspect the United Arab Emirates based on a search on the term and poster location. I hadn't heard that phrase before so I was curious where it came from and if it is a translation of something else.
It's also a phrase that I have to constantly remind myself isn't meant poorly. Like "please do the needful" which I've gotten used to.
People considerably older than you -like myself :-)- will recognize one of Congresswoman Lacey Davenport's favorite figures of speech. Maybe not in conjunction with "hi", but in several other variations, like this one, after the 1990 elections:
