Which browser are you using? Accessing the clipboard is blocked by some browsers; Opera for instance (my browser) doesn't support it at all. This is done because of security, to prevent malicious sites to copy and/or paste to/from the clipboard.

Firefox explicitly does not allow this by default. Perhaps you can turn it on, but I don't know how.

Apart from Opera and Firefox, Google Chrome also disallows accessing the clipboard by default. Internet Explorer 6 had no problems at all, Internet Explorer 9 now asks you for permission first.

One option is to click the "view plain" link, then copy the text from there.
