Anyone who is studying for scwcd please let me know. We can form a study group/stay in touch. Also, please mention the chapter you are on. I am on c-8 of head first book.

Good luck to all.

I've heard of this really cool study group.

Seriously - I know that physical study groups can help in ways that an online study group can't. But that doesn't seem to be what you are trying to get here - given how world-wide the members of CodeRanch are, it is unlikely that you would end up with study partners in close proximity to each other who can also match up on times.

So I am very curious as to what you see as lacking in the forums that you think you will get from a study group? Perhaps it is something that we should consider adding to the forums here.

(Side note: I have asked this many times over the years, and I have yet to have a single response. I'm hoping that by pointing this out I might get a response this time).

To know the road ahead, ask those who are coming back. I want to know who all are preparing for this. If a guy/gal is ahead of me, then i can ask them to see my problem. It may be possible that someone might have faced my problem before (and spent many hours in figuring it out). OR they might have missed an issue which could spoil their performance in the exam. In the same way, i can help others. Here is an example.

If there is any better way to do the above, please let us know.

LOL Yes its a great study group. Thats why i am here. But a little more "closeness" between scwcd aspirants is good.

Thanks for responding.

What you are suggesting makes sense, however I am still not clear on how this would be different in the forums than in whatever study group you are proposing. The example you gave is, in my opinion, an example of why there is no difference - the person who is a chapter or two ahead is probably in the forums anyway, trying to get help with their current problem - this puts them in a perfect place to help out those who are a chapter or two behind.

I'm sure that there is something simple and obvious that I am missing. I just wish I knew what.
