Hi,

what are the best Java Frontend Technolgoies for developing website frontends?

I'm thinking of using JavaScript, CSS and HTML but is there any good technologies for doing these together?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.

Yes, the combination of HTML, CSS and JavaScript are the technologies to be used for front-end web development.

Are you asking about libraries such as jQuery or Dojo that help to make such development easier? Or perhaps GWT that will auto-generate a front-end from Java code? Or...?

GWT is good but a drawback of it is that it needs the users browser to be GWT compatibile or a GWT plug-in to be downloaded,

what libraries are good for making front end development easier?

Absolutely not. It generates HTML, CSS and JavaScript that can run in any modern browser. That said, I am not a fan, but it can be appropriate in certain circumstances.

Well, I'm obviously a big fan of jQuery.

is JQuery good for the appearance of web pages or is it more used for JavaScript functionality?

jQuery UI has front-end widgets and themes. But if you are looking for a WYSIWYG tool, I have nothing.
