Both assignment and essay need to be submitted within 6 months of assignment purchase?

Candidates who purchased their assignments on or after June 1, 2011 have 6 months to complete the assignment and submit the essay from the date of assignment purchase. However, candidates who purchased their assignments before June 1, 2011 will have 12 months to complete and submit the assignment. Regards, Brandye Barrington

The only thing to be aware of is that Oracle has changed the game a bit since Sun was in charge of the exam. After August 1 you have to take a mandatory course in order to complete the certification, and you have to take the course even if you're in the middle of the certification! So yes, you do have 12 months, but if you don't want to take the (EXPENSIVE) mandatory course...then I would probably finish the certification within a couple of weeks!

Since the date will be October 1st according to this Post
I will get more time to complete it and even will have some buffer for re-submission, just in case, if its 12 months.
