I am trying to configure a data source in WL 9.2 from the admin console.
The data source is supposed to point to a MS SQL 2005 Server

After I filled up all the necessary details to create a new datasource and hit the "Test Configuration" button in the admin console, I got this error: "Cannot load driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver".

I have also copied the sqljdbc.jar file to the %WL_HOME%\server\lib\ directory but that did not help either.

The following is the error printed in the AdminServer.log

####<Jun 15, 2011 4:24:45 PM GMT+08:00> <Error> <Console> <AdobeTest-2> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <weblogic> <> <> <1308126285776> <BEA-240003> <Console encountered the following error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Cannot load driver: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver

the jar file containing the driver class is not on the server's CLASSPATH,

double check the driver class name and make sure you have at least mssqlserver.jar
on the CLASSPATH.

You can edit the setDomainEnv.sh file to manipulate the CLASSPATH...

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
