Hi Ranchees,

I have prepared 80% to write WCD5. But confused now which one to write, either WCD5 or WCD6?

Will there be any change in exam pattern?
Please advice as I am planning to give my exam by 1st week of July.

Hi Angeline.

You should give a read to this:

https://coderanch.com/t/528601/java-Web-Component-SCWCD/certification/Information-OCPJWCD-SCWCD-CX

About SCWCD 5 there is a lot of information already available.

And then you'll have to make a decision about which one attend!

Cheers,
ML.

Hi Angeline,

If you have already prepared for OCWCD 5.0, please go for it.

AS OCWCD 6.0 have new topics :
More options for the Model
[ ] Understand the roles of JDBC and JPA
[ ] Understand the many elements that make up the model
[ ] Understand fundamentals of connecting to a database using JDBC or JPA

Asynchronous web applications
[ ] Understand the interactions that are essential to asynchronous web pages
[ ] Understand the role of AJAX-style client side programming
[ ] Implement asynchronous servlets using the facilities of Java EE 6

And also JAAS.
