Hi authors!

With bit experience in programming, I would like to explore iOS application development.
Looked at sample code which seems to be evolved from C/C++.

So what are the basic requirements to setup an development environment? Can it be set on Windows ?
How to get started?

Thanks.

Macs are the only machines that can be used for iOS development.
You don't have to get an expensive machine, there is a couple of reasonable Macs options.

Apple Store is your definitive destination:
http://store.apple.com/us
You will need an Intel powered Mac and of course the more RAM you have the better (true for any machine, not just Macs).

Xcode 4 requires Intel-based Mac and OS X 10.6.5 or higher.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
