Hi ranchers,

Having worked on the Java platform for almost 7 years, i am planning to learn some kind of tool and specialize in that.
A tool which works with Java or which is dependent on Java would be good. A BPM tool like webmethods for example.. which would also add more value to my profile

Can anyone of you please let me know if any such tool is there & which is also hot in market?
I googled for details, but was not able to get relevant results.

Cheers

Dint understand what you mean by your question?

How do you decide on one fine day that you are going to use this 'tool'? Would that not be more dependent on the requirement(s) of the project you are working on?

Cheers,
Raj.

It looks he wants to learn and specialize in some famous and widely used framework or tool or more aptly technology (based on Java) irrespective of the project that he currently works on.

I try my best to be STRONG in the basics. My line of thought is that if I am good there then any new technology that comes wont be too difficult for me to learn. If I know and understand the basics then I would be in a position to use it to the best of my advantage.

And during the course of my few years I have picked up new technologies like Struts, Spring, Hibernate, XML to name a few. All and each one of these have helped me deliver better solutions faster while associated with a new problem/solution...

Cheers,
Raj.
