Hi all,

I'm using the castor framework for java - xml binding. I'm trying to figure out a way to add custom types. Can anyone help.

In my xml document, i have an element called returnObject. I use the type attribute to specify the java type like below

However, I also want to specify custom java types.

I've played about with some mapping files without any joy. I have also thought about using a custom FieldHandler, however I believe that this would required me to handle java types such as String, Integer..., which I would prefer not to do.

Any help would be really appreciated. I dont really want to move away from the castor api as this stage.
