EaseUp. PatienceIsAVirtue.

In Swing and AWT, the framework generates events when you click a button, resize a frame, etc. It doesn't know what to do when such events are generated. It allows you to tell it what to do by letting you add listeners for the specific events. Read http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/events/index.html for more information.
